We made a booking on a Saturday night. Wasn't too busy but the waitress recommended booking to get a good table. For two of us, we ended sitting closer to the entrance door.

We ordered the fresh watermelon and strawberry juice to drink. It wasn't as fresh as we had expected. Seems like it might have been a lot fresher that morning. It was also rather diluted.

The husband ordered the soup of the day which was tomoto and basil. It tasted a bit like pasta sauce. He had the baby octopus salad as the main which was fantastic. The cream sauce with the grilled baby octopus was a lot more tantalizing. It had a good tang to it with a soft texture to the octopus.

I ordered the fish of the day- spotted cod with chips and salad. The fish wasn't too flaky but tender and moist. I was pleasantly surprised by the generous serving of salad on the side. It was a big serving for the overall dish.

We didn't stay for desert but the collection of cakes look a bit on the ordinary side.

Service was fantastic - attentive and responsive. Ambience was decent, not too loud/noisy and cosy enough for a small dinner party. Prices were very decent for the serving size e.g. my grilled fish was only $26.

Will visit next time for the breakfast menu which everyone raves on about. Might even try going back for the pasta nights.

We went to the Mia for Sunday breakfast. Lovely place which sits alongside / amongst the garden centre. Coffees were very good and delivered quickly. My request for the largest coffee they could serve me was greeted with a smile and awarded with a nice sized mug.

I chose from the $10 "pick three items from the list" - make up your own breakfast. Was very happy with the eggs, smashbrowns and muffin combination I picked. My friend went for her usual eggs benedict with no complaint about what was received.

Very busy place and by the time we left, the place was full. Recommend booking. What I did like was the ability to wander through the nursery and gift shop afterwards.

Ordered the prawn fettuccine, which was AWFUL. Pasta sauce was bland and seemed to have some sort of generic dried herb speckled through it, which added no dimension anyway. The presentation made it look like it had been dropped and re-plated in a hurry. The generous serve of prawns did nothing for the overall effect of the dish. Friends ordered the all day breakfast and "authentic" curry. To screw up brekkie would take total and complete negligence, so thankfully that was done well, with a lovely home-made hash brown that was delightful. The curry was ordinary to say the least.

All in all an ok place to be on a weekday afternoon but save your weekends for some place truly special.

Went with a small group for their $10 Pasta night on Thursday and was not disappointed. We all opted for the $15 special which includes herb bread and coffee. They offer 4 pasta dishes for this price and they do have a vegetarian option which had eggplant and my friend said it was lovely. I had the Amatriciana which was fabulous and had the right amount of chilli. You certainly would pay a lot more for this at other restaurants.

They also offer BYO at around $4 a bottle which makes the night a good budget conscious night out. Service was fast and friendly.

The only complaint if we had to find one was that they had run out of their curry which one of us did want - but there is so much else on offer.

We'll definitely go back again.

Went here for a simple dinner for two on a nice summer evening and had a great time. The restaurant is very nice - it's also a nursery, so we had a peaceful setting of green plants and water noises.

Service was fast and friendly/casual, although we weren't asked about drinks - I'm not sure if it's a get-them-from-the-fridge thing, but seeing as it's a cafe, it's more than likely. Food came out nice and quick, and was reasonably priced.

My friend had a roast lamb Greek salad which tasted great and was a good sized serve for $17. I decided on a platter for $20, which included a pair of oysters, a decent amount of Turkish bread with two generous servings of dip (both delicious), meatballs (mmmm) and a goat cheese, sundried tomato and mushroom frittata which was also very nice.

Oh, and some chilli and mint watermelon. I passed on most of it as it had a bit too much kick to it - not as refreshing or palette cleansing as you expect watermelon to be.

We followed it up with coffee and tea and a pair of delicious rum balls.

All up, a very nice and pleasant place to have a meal. They also do breakfast, which I hear is very popular.
