Liquid, situated on the beautiful waterfront of NewQuay overlooking Victoria Harbour, is a must for those who enjoy the flavours of Spain and the Mediterranean.
This coolly minimalist, guzzle and graze spot serves all day breakfast, and a fancier carte for those looking for a meal to remember.
With an outdoor promenade deck (heated of course) it’s the ideal location to take in the harbour and city views.
The menu is contemporary Mediterranean and Spanish, offering diversity with true Spanish tapas. Local produce, prime cut beef and fresh seafood, combine this package into the 'NewQuay place to eat’.
Tapas is a great way to begin the meal with dishes such as zucchini fritto with yoghurt dressing, prawns with garlic and chilli or saffron rice cakes filled with manchego sheep’s cheese just to name a few choices from the extensive tapas menu. If your game, try the bowl of chilli, hot, hot, hot!
A range of starter dishes are also available, including COCA (spanish pizza)
a flat open tart, crispy base flavoured with cumin thyme and lemon, with a section of toppings
Main dishes are expertly crafted by head chef, Sunny Gilbert, and include fresh seafood paella with saffron rice, prawns, mussels, pippies, fish, baked oysters and chorizo, beef braised, with pancetta, winter vegetables garnished with walnut and paprika cream and the ever popular prime aged rib eye steak served with creamy mash finished with spicy tomato and garlic sauce garnished with beef juś
Desserts are a must and include, Bomb Alaska, chocolate brownie topped with ice cream and Italian meringue flambé at your table, and is the highlight dessert dish closely followed by the Churros Spanish style doughnuts with ice cream and homemade chocolate sauce and of course icky sticky date pudding served with caramel sauce and ice cream.
