Overall:
We came here as a group of 6 last Saturday. A table was quickly set up for us since we didn't have a booking. With only 3 staffs and around 10 other tables occupied, they didn't give us such bad service.

I ordered the sirloin steak while the others had fish of the day - which was grilled ocean trout (x2), duck, mushroom risotto and steak baguette.

When our food came and we started digging in, I was disappointed to find that my steak was well-done rather than what I asked for which was medium. I had thought about returning it to the kitchen, but some of us needed to catch a flick after dinner, so I decided not to, otherwise it might delay everyone else. So the steak was a little drier than I wished for. However, the jus, potato rosti and asparagus that came with it was good.

I had a taste of some of the other dish and the best appeared to be the grilled ocean trout, it was very well cooked and goes well with the guacamole and potato gratin. The flavour of the duck was good but my friend had difficulty of cutting it because it came with the bones rather than what it said on the menu, which was crisp boneless duck. The waiter later came around to say that he should have informed us that the duck wasn't boneless. While he was there, I informed him that my steak wasn't medium and he didn't respond to my comment with an apology.

Overall it wasn't a bad experience; the quality of the food wasn't bad. However, I would expect a chef to know how to cook his steak properly.

I came here for a work Christmas do and we all ordered ala carte. We also preordered in order to have the food ready when we arrived at 2pm. Service was prompt and our food came out quite quickly. I had the tempura "snapper” (I can't remember the fish) with wasabi mayonnaise, salad and chips. Others had the paella, salmon and Caesar salad. I felt I basically had paid $18 for a "glorified” fish and chips with salad on the side. The wasabi mayo had a little zing in it. However, the tempura batter was not as light as I expected tempura to be. The salad was a nice mix of fresh greens but not very imaginative either. On the other hand, it's not a dish you could go massively wrong. One gripe I did have is that although, they had a lift for wheelchair access this lift is locked!! So if you are disabled, you either have to have an able bodied friend to run up and ask the staff to unlock the lift or call them on your phone. I'm not disabled but I was encumbered with a pram with a child and the only way up was to lift the pram with the help of a friend. Wouldn't go back again unless it was a work do and yes, it is on this year's entertainment card.

We came here again as a group of 4 for an early dinner before a show. The place was fairly quiet and the acoustics are great - carpet on the walls so you can't hear people at the table next to you and thick glass windows so you can see but not hear Murray St.

We started off with a grazing plate of grilled chorizo, marinated feta and olives and some toasted ciabatta. Quite a simple plate but good food and not too much of it. Just enough to keep us looking forward to the next course.

I had the fish of the day - a swordfish steak in harissa spices on garlic mash with a citrus salad. All the flavours went well together and the fish was grilled to perfection. My husband had the chicken Caesar salad which he said was superb also. One of our friends had the chilli mussels, which weren't hot enough (temperature wise) for her, so she sent them back to get warmed up. This was only a very minor issue and we all agreed that chilli mussels should only be served in metal bowls, as they retain the heat more effectively than china.

Our waitperson talked us into having his favourite cocktail each: smashed lime and orange in a tall glass with ice, Southern Comfort, peach liqueur, Cointreau and topped up with Red Bull. As odd as it sounds, it really worked well - very refreshing.

The service was fantastic. Friendly, helpful and unobtrusive. They apologised profusely for the cold mussels and we assured them that it wasn't a big deal. We've eaten there several times before and the food has always been great value.

For the four of us the bill came to just over $160. We used the Entertainment Card and he gave us 25% off the total bill rather than just $30 off. That combined with the dining experience and convenience of Bin 305 will keep us coming back.

We went here before a show at His Maj and chose to dine early so we could take our time. It was very quiet when we arrived but filled up towards the end.

The service was exceptional, very polite and unobtrusive. Our glasses were never empty.

The mains range from about $17 to $26 and are all very good quality. I had the chilli mussels, while my friends had the Diablo prawns and the three mushroom risotto. All three of us were very happy with the taste and the promptness of the food.

This restaurant is quite small and almost unnoticeable from the street, but I recommend it to anyone who likes a nice intimate atmosphere and it is fantastic for a pre-show meal.

Used to be in the Entertainment Book and I think it could be again this year....
